About
Dial A Mechanic was built on a simple observation: most of what a garage does to a car does not require the car to be in a garage.
The idea
A service, a diagnostic scan, a brake job, an aircon regas — none of it needs a bay with your name on a whiteboard for two days. What it needs is the right equipment, the right parts and someone who knows the work. All three fit in a van.
So that is what Dial A Mechanic is. A fully equipped mobile unit that comes to your house, your office, your yard or the roadside, does the job properly in front of you, and leaves. No drop-off. No lift home. No vague phone call at four in the afternoon.
The business trades from Johanna Street in Windhoek and covers the greater Windhoek area, with the phone answered around the clock for breakdowns.
How we work
Guessing at a fault and replacing parts until it goes away is expensive for you and lazy for us. The cause gets found first, then you get a price for fixing that specific thing.
Old parts stay on the ground next to the car until you have seen them. If something was replaced, you can see why it needed replacing.
Some work genuinely needs a lift, a press or a full teardown. When that is the case you will be told straight away rather than discovering it halfway through.
A mobile mechanic that cannot be reached is just a mechanic. The number is monitored around the clock, and a breakdown call gets a real answer.
Where we go
Routine callouts across the city and surrounding areas. If you are further out, ask — longer trips are quoted with travel included so there are no surprises.
The next service is the easiest way to see the difference. Book it for a morning you are working from home and watch it happen from the kitchen window.
